Round Robin in the pickleball: When a circular system is better than a grid

What tournament is it for

This article is intended for small and medium-sized tournaments with fixed pairs

Pre-launch control

• group-match
• single-format account
• equality
• pause-over
• playoff

You can find the number of players, courts, rounds and time available, add transitions, input results and reserve, and then after you've calculated, select the name of the system and open the registration

Start with three checksgroup-match; single-format account; equality.

How to evaluate quality

The format works if participants receive the promised number of matches, the schedule endures a protracted round, and the same situations are solved in the same way, these criteria are checked by timing and protocol

Standby scenario

When time is scarce, reduce the number of points, rounds or stages before the regulations are published. You can't promise a large amount of play and then cancel matches during the event

Unfair decisions

You can't pick a tiebreak after equality, you can also make groups of different sizes without adjusting the odds, and too long matches can ruin the whole day

What's important to keep

Before the start, send a memo: arrival time, count, seeding, transitions, points equality and the results channel
